Finding Continuing Legal Education / Continuing Professional Development Materials on Your Topic

Continuing legal education or continuing professional development (CPD) conference materials are a useful source of current and practical information. Some recent programs are listed on this page. Here are some suggestions for locating other CPD materials on your topic:

  1. Use the Great Library and Ontario Courthouse Libraries catalogue to search for programs and papers from a variety of CPD providers (e.g., Law Society of Ontario, Canadian Bar Association, Ontario Bar Association, and Advocates' Society) available in the library.

  • The library catalogue holds the full-text of articles from LSO CPD programs. Materials from LSO CPD programs from 2004 onwards are available remotely and for free. Browse the Family LSO CPD Sub-Collection
  • The library catalogue also holds a collection of digitized CPD materials from other providers, but these are only available in the Great Library physical space. Browse the Family Law Non-LSO CPD Sub-Collection.
  • The library also has a large physical collection of CPD articles from the LSO and other providers.
  1. Use The Canadian Law Symposia Index (available through Lexis+™ Canada) to find references to papers from selected Canadian and American CLE programs and other legal symposia since January 1986.
